DECONSTRUCTING KORSAKOV
EDUCATIONAL CONCERT FOR ADULTS
There are many educational concerts for children but not so many for adults; however, it is much easier for the latter to become interested in classical music and become regular consumers and promoters of great classical music.
- Local concerts in the smaller towns of the territory are a very interesting tool to give a closer and more accessible image of the symphony orchestra.
The figure of the conductor, also acting as presenter and communicator, adds much more rhythm and approachability to an innovative and memorable format.
Through Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol, we will explain the processes of orchestration and adaptation, how a simple song becomes a monumental symphonic work.
• Outreach : Capricho Español is a well-known and spectacular work, making it ideal for introducing to audiences unfamiliar with symphonic concerts. We bring classical music to all kinds of groups in a fun and accessible way.
• Visibility : We strengthen the image of the orchestra in its immediate environment, outside of regular concerts
• Commitment : We serve diverse groups with little or no access to classical music
• Permanence : We generate interest in music in people who are likely to become future consumers of classical music
• To link classical and popular music , in order to demystify that to enjoy both, great knowledge is not needed.
• To reclaim the importance of traditional Spanish music and its influence on the history of music.
